Belinda Gorman
My story
I’ve been driven to improve social and environmental outcomes from an early age. I believe in a kind and just society where people and nature can thrive.
That belief led to a fulfilling career in international development, working in global NGOs and multinational corporations.
Yet, despite my career progress, I knew something wasn’t working. At UNICEF, we needed more corporate support. At Microsoft, we needed more community input. I came to see that solving complex issues were beyond the scope of a single organisation or group.
We need to bring people and organisations together to make positive, systemic change. Collaboration is key.
My cross-sector experience has culminated in one clear purpose – to enable people and organisations to collaborate in effective and meaningful ways. That’s what gets me up in the morning.
Now I broker game-changing partnerships; train Government leaders to collaborate successfully; facilitate partnership training with government, NGOs, iwi and business; and work one-on-one within partnership dynamics. I am a partnership and collaboration specialist here to help break through complexity and build bridges between different perspectives.
My work enables bold action towards a sustainable and equitable world. I help cultivate partnerships that leverage our human strengths (empathy, openness and curiosity) to accelerate progress on systemic issues in a way that benefits everyone.
